Meanwhile, the standard powertrain of the Ford F-150 is a 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 engine that produces 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque1. While the latter model has a higher output, the Ram 1500’s standard 2,360-lb. payload capacity2 is superior to the Ford F-150’s standard 1,775-lb. payload rating3. To keep your cruises to Yokuts Park and beyond as comfortable as possible, the Ram 1500 has an available class-exclusive Active-Level™ Four Corner Air Suspension System4. While the Ford F-150 offers available 5-link rear and long travel suspensions, they do not offer the precision and efficiency of the Ram model’s optional system.
Exterior
When it comes to convenience, the 2026 Ram 1500 is hard to beat. This is made evident by its available class-exclusive RamBox® Cargo Management System4 — a built-in storage compartment on the side of the truck bed. The 2026 Ford F-150 does not have any comparable features. Additionally, while the Ford model has an optional Pro Access Tailgate that can open horizontally or vertically, the Ram 1500 takes ease of access a step further with its available 60/40 split Multifunction Tailgate. To help you find your vehicle in crowded parking lots, the 1500 offers an available customizable LED walk-up animation feature. Once again, the F-150 does not have any similar features.
Safety
Hauling bulky objects has never been easier thanks to the Ram 1500’s several driver-assistive features. Its available telescopic trailer tow mirrors have concave and convex segments that are both power adjustable. While the Ford F-150 has available PowerScope® Telescoping tow mirrors, they only offer one-piece power adjustability. For added confidence while traveling down State Route 99, the Ram 1500 has an available Digital Rearview Mirror with Tow Mode5, which displays a live video feed of your vehicle at a forward-facing angle, helping you keep an eye on towed objects with ease. The Ford model has no similar features. Finally, the Ram 1500’s available Evasive Steering Assist6 helps you merge into the next clear lane when the Forward Collision Warning System6 is activated. The Ford F-150 does not have this extension on its standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking7.
