This dodge A150 adventurer. it is a little red express truck one of only 2100 produced in 1978. this truck is unique for a number of reasons. in 1978 the EPA and Dodge went to war and won. when cat converters where eating horse power it did not i repeat did not require catalytic converters. no smog…This dodge A150 adventurer. it is a little red express truck one of only 2100 produced in 1978. this truck is unique for a number of reasons. in 1978 the EPA and Dodge went to war and won. when cat converters where eating horse power it did not i repeat did not require catalytic converters. no smog controls of any kind. in 1978 the little red express was touted as the fasted production truck in the country from zero to one hundred miles per hour. The 360 performance package had a special cam, dual snorkels on the air cleaner with ram air to the front core support on eighter side of the radiator. it boasted a whopping 225 hp equipped with the fuel guzzling thermo quad four barrel carb. The corvette that year only had 180 hp and 220 with the L82 package. it was actually listed as the corvette killer. thats right faster than a corvette. the chrome stacks and chrome side steps are factory equipped. also the wheels are factory and the tires are period correct. the truck is approximately 85% original. the exhaust came with hemi mufflers but have been replaced with round flow master mufflers for a much enhanced tone. The little red express decals are still intact the interior has an overhead console with a sound system. the wood is in great shape throughout the bed interior and exterior. it is equipped with P/S P/W P/B and P/antenna.
the truck was originally an AC equipped truck. the compressor is still on the truck. it has been blocked off to stop contamination. we had it tested it still works. the rest of the equipment is missing under the hood.
all in all this little red express still turns heads with young and old alike.
when the pictures were taken there were running boards that we removed they just didn't look right on this classic truck.
